It’s February in Tenerife again, which can mean only one thing. Carnaval is on its way!
This year’s theme is ‘the 1950’s’, which should throw up some interesting fancy dress costumes. As always, donning fancy dress for Carnaval is ‘de rigeur’, unless you want to stand out like a sore thumb and look like a tourist.
This year the main party kicks off from 1st March with the opening parade featuring decorated floats and cars. Carnaval then continues with daytime and evening events running until the closing party and firework display on 10th March.

As usual, visitors can expect various street parties, latin music, local and international cuisine and a seafront funfair.
Additional bus services will be running throughout Carnival catering for up to 260,000 additional passengers. To plan your journey, visit the official TITSA website here.
