Granted in September 2019, this was one of the last Canarian licences ever issued in Tenerife. There has since been a strict moratorium on the issue of new licences and the government has indicated no intention to issue any more licences in the forseeable future.
Please do NOT confuse this licence with the various temporary licences obtained in the mainland (e.g. Barcelona) that are currently being used by certain Tenerife Associations. Such licences are ‘temporary’ only and require proof of residence in the issuing borough when being renewed. Most also do not include the right to cultivate product for members.
The licence offered for sale is a full unlimited licence to operate a Cann *bis association (members club) in the Canary Islands. It has no expiry date or time restriction. It includes the right to cultivate a reasonable and sufficient quantity of product for the requirements of the club’s registered members.
The licence is 100% legal and in force. It has been actively used since August 2020 and has never been subject to any legal problems, enquiries or interventions from either the police or the Cabildo.
Although there is no law governing the maximum number of members an association may have, it is generally accepted by the police and courts that up to 250 members is permissible.
N.B. To purchase the licence, the buyer(s) will need to nominate 3 officers resident in the Canary Islands (Administrator, Treasurer & Secretary), who will form the association’s registered body.
